The bionic woman 24 hours after double hip replacement
I am on the way to visit Shirley, who is my friend and business partner while she convalesces from double hip surgery at her home in New Hampshire. Shirley is a real trooper and was quite sure she would be back in the saddle 6 minutes after she returned home from the hospital, but I knew better. She needs some TLC, and probably a side dish of my never ending neurosis about our joint venture in Lingerie Briefs. A modicum of distraction is good medicine. Most of all, she needs to relax. Pressure is out of the question. We will focus on the simple things, including wine, stupid TV and some good conversation. Getting dressed will be unimportant. Wow! Shirley, you look amazing!! And so young!!! Good for you on your decision to have this surgery. I’m pretty sure I too will need at least a single some time in the future, so I know some of your pain. Once you have recovered (which from the sounds of it will be quick!) your life will be so much better…but I know this is nothing I have to tell you. Just make sure to listen to your therapist – and I mean your physical therapist!! ;-))
