A Work Of Art ~ Empreinte

Untitled-1One of the highlights of my trip to the Salon De Lingerie was my visit to the Empreinte lingerie stand, a virtual gallery of intimates transformed into art.  It seemed as if I had finally gotten the museum job I had always craved in college and at the Musée D’Orsay in Paris, no less.  In order to fortify the company’s commitment to their brand mission, that every style is a work of art, created and developed with painstaking attention to detail, Empreinte has become a patron of this world renowned institution.  But what really captured my imagination was the way they have intermingled the artistic elite with their extraordinary products.  This is exactly what we try to do every day on Lingerie Briefs and I felt an instant connection.

From the moment I entered the booth and observed the beautiful nude images by the talented photographer, Sophie Delaporte, the message was clear.  But it was when I saw the amazing stone sculpture piece by Jorgen Missotten, inspired by the fabric pattern in the Ludmila collection that I knew Empreinte was in a whole new space.  This bra, fitting 30–44, C–G, continues the company’s legacy of innovation in lace and embroidery development as well as garment construction for a fuller cup woman.  Yes, it’s true that I am a huge personal fan of Empreinte’s bras.  I have spent years searching for a bra deep enough to accommodate my shape and elegant enough to make me feel beautiful wearing it.  And yes, the purchase requires an investment, but for me, these styles are the closest I have ever come to a custom made bra.  This is art at its best, visually seductive, emotionally satisfying and intimately compelling.
