For several years I had the privilege of working with the venerable Jacalyn Bennett, lingerie designer for some of the biggest Intimate Apparel brands in the world. I was sale’s director of her personal label and therefore, had access to an extraordinary vintage lingerie collection housed in her Newburyport studios. Renown for her handwork with lace applique, silk and delicate detail, Jacalyn’s creations were then and are now a homage to the art of sewing lingerie.
