Celebrating the Birth of a Brand ~ LoveSuze

It was quite serendipitous that, during a Curve seminar last February, I found myself sitting next to Suzanne Macbale, founder, and designer of the nascent LoveSuze brand. Some years back Suzanne and I had collaborated when she was a V.P. at Victoria’s Secret and I was positioned at one of VS’s sourcing arms. An extremely talented designer of playful, sexy lingerie and trained in the highly technical infrastructure of Victoria’s Secret’s product development process, she helped design many of the panty shapes that are used across the industry today. Of course, not all good things last and each of us took a new trajectory in our careers. When she surfaced at Curve and I learned that she had recently launched, the LoveSuze brand; naturally, I was interested.

Suzanne’s talent for identifying future trends, her knowledge of fit and grasp of what women want in their underwear drawer form the foundation of LoveSuze. The brand is a combination of comfortable basics, flirty little intimates, and provocative pieces of lingerie perfect for hot summer nights. They are spicy treats to wear or share for any affair. These pieces are designed with stretchable fabrics with flex-sizing® to move with the body. The premise is that woman’s bodies change every day. They are available in three sizes, covering XS – 1X (32-40, A-D cups).

The Intimate Apparel market is evolving, faster than anticipated. It is entrepreneurial brands, such as LoveSuze that feed its creative engine. It is interesting to note that during this unexpected retail shutdown, lingerie has fared better than expected and in fact, besides the obvious comfort, casual element of the industry, sexy underthings have surged in sales. Thankfully, the influence of an on-line culture is enabling the acknowledgement of new brands unable to finance traditional methods of exposure.  It’s our intent to help bring interesting, innovative collections into view.
