The Evolution Concept Show Gains Market Momentum
By Ellen Lewis
Last July, we introduced the Evolution Concept Show in this column. Captained by Samantha Chang, this online market platform was created to provide a podium for brands caught in a Pandemic web of confinement. Launched in July with 50 participating companies, Evolution Concept Show, embarking this week on their second virtual market, now claims 80 members, a 60% increase of brands showcasing their new collections. The site is easy to navigate. Buyers can access images, videos, look books, line books, and contact information quickly. For brands, it provides budget friendly exposure to retailers. In the current (and maybe forever) virtual environment, highlighting merchandise in a one stop venue makes this business model particularly relevant. It’s a way to curate product before delving deeper into the buying process. On a personal note, I find it a valuable tool for perusing lines, perhaps finding a spark to pursue more deeply. No, we can not touch and feel, but we can identify potential and that is priceless. Below are some of the most recent associates to join the Evolution Concept Show.
