Someplace Else
I wasn’t going to write a blog this week. Most people are hunkered down in one way or another, on vacation from routine. It’s the slow dance before the New Year presents a slew of expectations. But last night, a gale force snowstorm blasted the Northeast and this morning I found myself shoveling 12 inches of white powder off the steps of my house. Beautiful as the woods appear coated with snow in the bright light of day, I have to say that I powered through the chore fantasizing about my upcoming jaunt in January to Mexico. I am looking forward to sun, 80 degree temperatures, mangos and horse back riding on the beach in Cabo San Lucas. Most of all, I am looking forward to living in a bathing suit, a welcome respite from the multi layers of clothing obligatory in a New York winter wardrobe.
When I saw this image of the Croisette Bandeau swimsuit from the iconic French brand, Rasurel, I was immediately reminded of the easy lifestyle perpetuated by a beach environment. Sexy and sophisticated, it is draped with a soft, sensual mesh fabric that wraps the torso and flatters a woman’s natural curves. This style (R10837) is engineered in a silky smooth fabric that provides a unique tummy control construction, a hallmark of the 80 year old Rasurel brand. Part of a multifaceted collection of innovative swimwear designs, it is available in five sizes and three colors. Go someplace else and escape.
