Power Forward – Swim Freya

2012. New Year: Revelation, Resolution and Re-birth.  The holidays behind us, we re-direct our priorities with an eye on transition.  It is time to hunker down and review expectations.  January is the beginning of the slow slog uphill that seems to commandeer our lives at this annual juncture.   Grey skies, budgets and reality initiate all sorts of goals in order for us to harbor hope.  When I was in my 20’s and 30’s, this meant resuming my weekly swimming regime at our local recreation center after a brief holiday splurging hiatus.  In those days, the active bathing suit selection for girls of my “curvy” shape was limited to a simple solid black tank suit with little support and no shape.  The disintegration of the basic nylon material by the chlorine drenched water from the repetition of 40 laps three times a week was guaranteed.  Standing at the edge of an Olympic size pool at 6 AM, white cap and goggles in place, I was really glad that no one could identify me in my nautical camouflage.

Wouldn’t it have been great to have had access to Freya’s Active Swim line with bathing suits constructed for band sizes 30–40, C-H cups?  Having personally tried the soft suit (AS3182) pictured here, I can attest to the fit, function and fashion that this style provides.  Engineered with the same objective to provide the comfort and support provided by the Freya bra brand, this collection is a year round solution for the serious swimmer who seeks more than the buoyancy of water to lift their stature.  Constructed in the quick drying chlorine-resistant Sensitive Life Soft® fabric from Eurojersey, this bathing suit will survive the stress of constant wear and tear.  If I had access to this design technology during my swimming years, I may not have been so compelled to escape to the locker room after my work out.

Love that the neckline dips instead of going straight across. So much more flattering w/ large busts.

  2. Jacqui Lowe-Jackson says:

Our customers who like to swim lengths rather than have a splash around really love this swimming costume from Freya.
