Bravo! Bravado

It’s no secret that Bravado has been one of the top brands for maternity and nursing bras for a long time but this brand has recently made me a first time believer!

I was lucky enough to get some of their products to try and let me just say I haven’t taken some of them off since I got them. For me, and my 38FF breasts it’s been really hard to find wire-free nursing bras that are comfortable, and especially supportive. I loved my wire-free option from Cake Lingerie but I was looking for something a little softer and something I could wear everyday. Behold the Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra!

This bra is EVERYTHING I have been looking for. The second I got it on my body I was in heaven. The fabric is so buttery smooth against my skin and I loved that it wore like a bra rather then a sports bra I had to pull over my head. I LOVED the low cut neckline.  It’s supportive without being tight and I can adjust my straps if I feel like I need more. It’s easy to unhook the cup with one hand and even comes with re-moveable foam cups to hide nipples. I did take these out since they made my breasts look a little “lumpy”. Even though it isn’t the fanciest nursing bra ever (no lace, buttons, bows or frills), It does come in really pretty colors. Overall I give it a 8 out of 10 in the style department and a 10 out of 10 in the comfort and support department. Making this bra one hell of a product in my book. The other bra I tried was the ‘Original Nursing Bra’. The concept is great here. Three different styles and fits depending on your size. I fell into the double plus category for breasts E-G. Now coming from the lingerie world and having fit many people I do think it’s hard to say this bra will fit everyone from an E-G. I got a size large in this and they say it could fit from a 38-42 E-G. Well I am a 38 right now and it was a perfect fit around the band. If I were any bigger I would have felt the need to go to a bigger size. Also this fits more like a sports bra but doesn’t give you the awful uni-boob  No hook and eyes, goes right over your head and has a racer back back. For style this definitely falls short BUT I do like that when my milk comes in and I am bigger this will hold the girls in place. I mean I am not looking to get lucky with my husband in this so I really don’t care what it looks like. Here’s some more useful details on this bra:

Bravado also has several other products to offer like underwire nursing bras, foam cup nursing bras, underwear, nursing tanks and conversion kits to turn any of their bras into regular bras after you’re done nursing. Also after reading about the company, I LOVED learning that they were a green company. They donate their product seconds (which is product that doesn’t meet up to their standard but isn’t defective) to women’s shelters, and pregnancy crisis centers. And they also donate unused bolts of fabric to community sewing programs. After almost 20 years of being in business this brand certainly knows how to impress a customer like myself. I am so happy to have learned about this company and will make sure to follow up with all of you after I have the baby to see which products were most useful when actually breast feeding.
