The Art of Illusion ~ Tatu Couture

Having owned a lingerie boutique for nearly a decade, I still look at new lingerie collections in terms of what I would or would not carry in my shop.  Every now and then there’s a brand that I just know my customers would have loved, and that I would have had fun promoting.  Luckily, I still have an outlet for my enthusiasm for inspiring works via this blog, and it gives me a chance to build my fantasy boutique.  In this fantasy shop, I would gladly carry the luxury label Tatu Couture.  This British brand was established in 2012, and has since made a name for itself with its uniquely identifiable collection of ‘illusion’ pieces.  As you might have guessed, creative director Luisa Sidoli has taken the concept of body art or tattoos, and creates beautiful statements upon the skin with a combination of lace, stretch satin and Swarovski crystals.  Tatu Couture is perhaps best known for its luxury bodysuits, with each piece handmade with strategically placed lace or silk, allowing for them to be worn inside or outside the boudoir.

The former retailer in me is encouraging boutiques to stock up on the latest collection now, and also strongly suggesting that customers start building their holiday wish lists (starting with Tatu Couture) right away!
