Katherine Hamilton is a British luxury lingerie brand that specialises in larger cups and smaller bands in 54 sizes from 26-38, D-HH which combine luxury materials from silks to French lace with superior technical fit and comfort.

As a fit-focused designer, Katherine Hamilton understands the need for a firm bra band for sufficient support, particularly for those with a fuller bust, and is unique in offering 26 bands as standard to ensure that those with a smaller frame can obtain proper support.

KATHERINE PAYNE

Katherine Payne, the creative force behind the brand, was inspired by her own experience of having a larger cup and smaller back band and wanting a design that not only looked beautiful and elegant but also offered a great shape and felt so comfortable that it could be worn all day, every day. Described as ‘fitting like a glove’ her bras have been developed with real women in mind, to ensure they are contoured perfectly for and offer complete underwire comfort.

After struggling to find a well -fitting bra, Katherine researched design and discovered that most fuller-bust brands use underwires adapted from smaller sizes, and simply make them wider and deeper. However, this isn’t always optimal for breasts – quite simply, breasts don’t get wider, they actually get fuller (otherwise they would grow around our sides and under our armpits!) and Katherine realised that these wider wires were causing her underarm discomfort and creating an unflattering shape by moving her breasts to the sides. She developed a unique narrow underwire, based on the shape of real women, which replicates how breasts actually grow and creates forward projection, lift and underarm comfort.

Katherine’s love of timeless vintage design is evident in her use of delicate French floral lace and traditional cuts whilst her philosophy that lingerie is to empower, guides the brand’s aesthetics and imagery, evoking elegance, sophistication and confidence.
