Around this time every year, festival wear becomes a fashion talking point. For some brands though – among them, Australia-based Her Pony – this section of the clothing industry isn’t just a seasonal trend, but a year-round lifestyle.
Founded in 2010 by Lauren Stein, Her Pony describes its garments as “festival treasures”. There’s beaded fringing, shimmering sequins, and bold 60s and 70s-esque prints galore – it very much screams ‘music festival’! But as someone working in the field of intimates, I can’t help but notice the similarities with the silhouettes of underwear and swimwear too.… Read More

That’s me pictured above! Hanging out at Cerritos, one of my favorite beaches in Baja, Mexico. Cerritos is well known for its surfing vibe and general laid-back attitude. We ‘gringos’ go there to escape the Cabo party scenes and the treacherous surf for which most of the area is known. Surfing, a big-time activity here has never appealed to me. I fear some crazy sea monster will swallow me up. (Strange since I have absolutely no fear of a 1000 lb. horse, me astride, cantering through the desert).… Read More

For fans of the lingerie-as-outerwear trend, Pattricia A. Garde is a gem of a brand. It was founded in 2015 by Teerawit Jenwitthayachai, who, after studying fashion design in both Bangkok and Paris, discovered she couldn’t find any bras she liked after returning to Thailand. So she set out to design some herself!
While Teerawit believes that lingerie should be functional, she also views it as an accessory. Just like a bracelet or a pair of shoes, it’s something you wear to express yourself.… Read More
