Christine Silk Faberge Devore velour kimono and Diva chemise in Purple Passion as featured on Lingerie Briefs

Recently, I took a trip to the Met Cloisters in NYC. I took a lot of notes at the museum.  I never know when such an experience will spark an idea for a Lingerie “Brief”.… Read More

Untitled-1When it comes to drama, weddings take the cake.  The entire process evokes memories of producing a major play.  There are so many facets to the affair, so many players in the equation, and emotions can run high.  My daughter in law (to be) has already told me that she might let her bridesmaids choose their own dresses to eliminate discord.  (I advised against it).  None the less, one can see how opposite tastes and different personalities require savvy handling. There are the provocateurs and the demure, the sultry and the soft.… Read More

Jane Woolrich Bridal Lingerie as Featured on Lingerie Briefs

This season the bridal business is burgeoning. Wedding plans surge as the pandemic subsides. That’s good news for the Intimate Apparel business. As I have said before:

“There is an alchemy between the Lingerie and Bridal Industries. Both worlds are devoted to the feminine self. The products revealed in this space are about beauty and self-esteem; their purpose to bring pleasure, passion, and gratification to a woman’s life.”

In this post, I have culled the market, reaching out to brands who focus on bridal lingerie.… Read More

Christine Silk's Morton Men's Silk robe collection as feature on Lingerie Briefs

I’ve been snooping around the Men’s Lingerie market for several seasons now, but have resisted covering it  with the exception of some cool underwear because, well, frankly married to a flannel shirt kind of man, it’s never been on my personal radar. However, I sense a sea change in the market, an interest in men’s nightwear that goes beyond the European recognition of the inherent value of fine men’s sleep and loungewear. Brands like Christine Lingerie have ventured into the luxury pajama and robe business and have discovered real success.… Read More
